FUMcon is Here!!

FUMcon is about getting players exposed to the great software that is being developed to help us play more of the games we have always wanted to play. Being entirely virtual can be tricky since there isn't a group of people standing around a table oooohing and ahhhing to draw your attention... however we have something close. Hopping onto Ventrilo in your free time allows you to talk to anyone else currently there and even lets you find out what is coming up and what demos or games are popular.

This page acts as our Program Book with a listing of our next 10 upcoming events in the box to your upper left. If you prefer to see events listed by day, just click on the calendar to your upper right to see the lastest listing of all of that day's events.

So what do we have?

The Monster Lair is our donor appreciation page in which we give a heart felt thank-you to the people who are offsetting FUMcon's expenses. We also have a handy comparison chart of the main features of each of the virtual tabletops (VTTs) used at FUM/FUMcon other than EpicTable, which is still in its pre-beta release.

FUMcon has its own dedicated forums where you can go to read and reply to general messages about the con. Please note that you have to be a member (it's free!) and logged in to post messages of your own.

No conference is complete without a place to meet and talk to vendors and other attendees or just to shoot the bull. We do that via our Ventrilo server, which is broken down into 3 main areas:

• the Main Lobby is where everyone comes into the server, best used for general chatter;
• the Games Room has 5 virtual tables available on a first come first serve basis for GM's wishing add voice chat to their games;
• while the Vendors' Room is subdivided into two sections for our sponsors: one for content providers and another for the software developers who bring us our Virtual Tabletops. These rooms may be used to demonstrate the capabilites or content a sponsor has on offer.

If you do encounter difficulties, look for help in the Ventrilo Lobby or FUMcon's Troubleshooting forum, in that order of preference. We'll get to you just as soon as we can..

For those new to FUM and FUMcon...

FUMcon is an online convention where we try to get as many developers of VT's and online games to come by and share with the community their progress and ideas.

Where gamers and DM's can hook up for single shot games to show off various VT's and all there ideas and skills.

There will be live chats, games, demos, and hopefully an interview or two.

Everyone is welcome, from the new players to the experienced DM's.
